The shift towards American manufacturing and energy dominance lays the groundwork for a new moniker: "The Green-Collar Worker."
Sustainability compliance has become inextricably linked to energy and manufacturing processes for decades now.
We are experiencing a nuclear renaissance.
Solar energy innovations are growing. S&P Global forecasts that solar energy will attract $2.8 trillion by 2030.
Space solar power is on the horizon.
Fossil fuels is no longer a dirty word.
Chris Wright, prior to his appointment as head of the DOE and speaking to Bloomberg as CEO of Liberty Energy, stated:
“Most of the energy intensive manufacturing—think steel and cement and solar panels that’s done in China that’s powered by coal—if you brought more of that industry back to the U.S., yes, it would be powered by natural gas, and you’d see lower air pollutants, lower greenhouse emissions, and more American jobs."
It's no secret that AI requires an expansive supply of energy and the hard work of many skilled Americans. Perhaps it's time to celebrate these energy workers with their own moniker, their own badge of honor—the "green-collar" worker.
