Quantum Oncotherapeutics
"At the end of the day, we are neutrons, electrons and photons. That's what we are. We, as human beings are nothing else but a battery and end-gate." — Dr. Patrick Soon-Shing, surgeon, cancer drug developer, advocate of quantum oncotherapeutics, and owner Los Angeles Times.
Note: Quantum oncotherapeutics is broadly defined as the use of quantum technologies to revolutionize cancer treatment by understanding molecules at the quantum level, and leveraging the principles of quantum mechanics for diagnostics and drug discovery.

GPS: Thorium 229 & Nuclear Clocks
Thorium 229—a rare, radioactive isotope that has an uncanny ability to jump to an excited state using a very small amount of energy—specifically 8 electron volts—is instrumental in the development of nuclear clocks. Nuclear clocks will be used for self-driving cars and deep space navigation and can identify locations to the inch—whereas atomic clocks can only measure to feet.

Protocol Paradigm Shift
"Shifting society from top-down command and control-based trust infrastructure to bottom-up permissionless decentralized protocol-based trust infrastructure is the largest societal paradigm shift in millennia. It will make scarcity and corruption obsolete..." —Joseph Lubin, Co-founder Ethereum, Founder Consensys

Goose, Bitchat, White Noise
Jack Dorsey launched Goose, an open-source AI assistant. He then used Goose to develop Bitchat, a messaging app that uses bluetooth mesh networks. (No internet needed) Dorsey also recently introduced White Noise, a secure private messaging app. Dorsey is Block Head and Chairperson at Block Inc., formerly Square, Inc.
Future: Cybersecurity
Cybersecurity: Gait
Gait, an established biometric used in surveillance systems, could be evaded if integrated with functional electrical stimulation, a threat to biometric evasion.
Future: Deals
Deals: Licensing & Acquihire
Google struck an acquihire and licensing deal with AI coding assistant company Windsurf for $2.4 billion. An X post conversation between Balaji Srinivasan and Deva Hazarika brings clarity. @Balajis writes:
"Can I clarify something? Google is actually acquiring Windsurf. But the new mechanism to do this which doesn't run into bogus "antitrust" objections is to buy the assets rather than the company. Like all of these other deals, investors still get paid, and employees still get an exit."
Note: @Balajis response is referencing @devahaz's X post listing the following deals: Scale AI (Meta, 2025) Character.AI (Google, 2024) Inflection AI (Microsoft, 2024) Adept AI (Amazon 2024) Covariant (Amazon 2024).
Note: Balaji Srinivasan is the author of The Network State
Note: Cognition AI acquired Windsurf's IP, product, brand and customer base.
Future: Space
Lunar Water
Naicker Scientific Ltd. has developed a technology that uses microwaves and ultrasound to purify water from lunar ice. The system, SonoChem, generates microbubbles in melted lunar ice that remove contaminants to produce drinkable water. Naicker won the latest Aqualunar Challenge.
Future: Health
Biomedical: Optogenetics
By using optogenetics—genetically engineering cells to respond to light—Nature Physics reports researchers expect biomedical applications to target cells to release drugs where needed.
Note: Optogenetic studies have already shown (circa 2015) that researchers can control the activity of specific brain cells of genetically modified neurons in mice using light—able to turn on memory, create artificial memories, modify memories and recover lost memories.
Future: Health
Multifeeroic Nanoparticles
Multifeeroic nanoparticles tuned to 1khz fields trigger gene expression in living organisms. The wireless control of gene expression has wide-ranging biomedical applications.
Future: Health
Performance Enhancing Drugs
Performance-enhancing synthetic peptides like BPC-157 and CJC-1295 are attracting attention now that Enhanced Games is planned for May 2026 in Las Vegas—an event where competing athletes are allowed to use performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs.)
Future: Health
Waste Water Management
Fenugreek and okra have been shown to remove up to 89% of microplastics from water.
Note: Wastewater treatment is primarily handled by Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTWs) and there are over 16,000 POWTs in the U.S. The largest wastewater treatment facility in the world is Stickney Water Reclamation Plant in Illinois, owned and operated by Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago. Veolia North America is the largest private water tech provider in North America and operates wastewater treatment plants.
Future: Law
IP Law
In April, businessman Jack Dorsey posted "delete all IP law" on X. Speaking with Rabble on Revolution.Social, Dorsey states: "Copyright laws may have started with good intent, but they've been co-opted by corporations who have become the gatekeepers of revenue, and they are getting paid more than the creators. People can own their data, their wallet, their own graph."
Future: Mobility
Auto: Cold Gas Thruster
The upcoming Tesla Roadster will be designed with a cold gas thruster able to fly/hover. The thruster is currently used in SpaceX's Falcon 9.

Future: Education
Education Tax Credit
Starting January 1, 2027, individuals will get a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit up to $1700 when they donate to a state-approved, federally recognized nonprofit that offers education scholarships. Individuals can use that money for tuition or other educational expenses including private or religious schooling.
The ability to participate in the program is decided by each State, not the individual family or school.
Future: Education
Phonics is For Kids
Phonics in NYS public schools grades pre-K to 3 will be mandatory beginning Fall 2025. The State Education Department, the administrative agency for the Board of Regents, will determine best practices and local schools to decide programs.
Future: Telecom
Telecom: Interference
On-device interference is a challenge to rollout 6G. The DOD's COFFEE program is developing RF filters that can isolate unwanted signals with precision and mitigate interference in congested environments.
Note: Beam forming antennas are able to direct signal beams towards specific users or devices, enhancing signal strength, reducing interference.
Note: Research suggests that moving beyond 5G and 6G systems will feature space linkages and dynamic bandwidth capabilities.
Note: According to an historic IARIA Panel chaired by Timothy Pham, Chief Engineer for NASA's Deep Space Network at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, 8G has been described as able to dynamically adjust bandwidth allocation to optimize resource utilization and involve non-terrestrial (satellite networks, aerials /drones) and terrestrial infrastructure; and operate on higher frequencies compared to 6G. These may include frequencies in the petahertz range which would enable superfast, millisecond transmissions. The document projects time-frame for arrival: 2048.
