Jim Dator, futurist and former professor and Director of the Hawaii Research Center for Future Studies, recently published a book called Living Make-Believe: Thriving in a Dream Society. The book argues that the world is moving from an information society to a dream society as ongoing social and technological forces are "pushing us from a world of words, rationality and truth into a world of images, performance and make-believe."

In the chapter, "Towards Quantum Governance of a Dream Society," Dator sketches a proposal for governance design that is based on principles of quantum physics, suggesting that society should no longer tolerate governance based on cosmologies and technologies that are hundreds of years old.

Living Make-Believe is apart of the Anticipation Science book series, published by Springer.
