What types of information do we collect?

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  

 

• Third-Party Service Providers, their agents and vendors perform functions on our behalf, including, but not limited to, hosting, social media integration, marketing, analytics, content management tools, content syndication, billing, and customer services. These entities may have access to personal information if needed to perform their functions. If such access is required, the third parties will be obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of that personal information.

 

• Third Party Event Partners or Underwriters. When you register for or attend one of our events, we may share the information you provide at registration with our event partners or underwriters. These third parties may use your information to provide you with information about their own products and services. Our Services are not directed toward children, and we do not knowingly solicit or collect Personal Information online from children under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. If Futurist NYC learns that a child under the age of 13 has submitted Personal Information online without parental consent, we will take all reasonable measures to delete such information from our databases and to not use such information for any purpose (except where necessary to protect the safety of the child or others as required or allowed by law.) In some cases, Personal Information that we process of users located in various countries, including in Canada, the EU, and Switzerland or relative to queries or visitors to the Services may be transferred to the United States or other countries that may not have data privacy laws that provide the same protection as the countries where you reside. You understand and expressly agree that your Personal Information may therefore be transferred, processed, and stored outside your country of residence, and therefore may be available to government authorities under lawful orders and laws applicable in such foreign jurisdictions.
