Toyota's Woven City is a future mobility lab-city planned for fall 2025. Inside there will be "escort drones" that guide people safely home, as well as autonomous wheelchair race cars for the disabled and elderly. Chairman Akio Toyoda stated: "Because everybody should experience the joy of going fast." (Go to timecode 5:30 to watch.)
Toyoda also announced that Joby flying cars and robot companions will be available.
Woven, which is a Toyota subsidiary, is exploring mass production of reusable rockets via its partnership with Interstellar Technologies. Toyoda stated: "The future of mobility shouldn't be limited to just Earth."
Note: Skycall—an app that lets you order a personal guide drone—was prototyped by MIT Sensable Labs back in 2013.
